Audit/Accounts Senior
Location – Redditch
Hours – Permanent, Full Time
Salary – Negotiable, depending on experience
Description – We currently have a vacancy for an Audit/Accounts Senior to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • To undertake accounts preparation to prepare accounts from client records to be submitted the relevant partner for review.
  • To undertake business support work including preparation of management accounts, Bookkeeping reviews, VAT Returns and assisting clients in any other matters.
  • Resolving client accounting issues and reconciling accounts.
  • Maintaining client relationships to identify any further client service opportunities.
  • Supervision of junior staff.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong IT skills and strong knowledge of accountancy software such as Iris and Sage.
  • At least 2-3 years practice experience working in a general practice environment along with experience assisting or leading on audits.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and work as an effective team member.
  • Conscientious and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise to meet strict timescales.
  • Audit experience beneficial but not essential.

Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk
Location – Redditch
Hours – Permanent, Full Time or Part Time
Salary – Negotiable, depending on experience
Description – We currently have a vacancy for a Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping services for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and LLPs up to trial balance.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting and management accounts.
  • Preparation & submission of VAT returns.
  • Run monthly and weekly payroll, RTI and pension uploads. P11Ds and PAYE/NI reconciliation with HMRC Gateway (incl. Earlier Year Updates).
  • Liaise with and provide general technical advice/support to clients.
  • Willingness to set an example to ensure workload is managed appropriately to meet client expectations.
  • Participate in business transformation by demonstrating a keen interest to change and embrace new processes and technologies when released.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience working in a general practice environment is beneficial but no essential.
  • Proven experience of working with accounting software such as Sage.
  • Knowledge of computer based accounting systems is beneficial.
  • Good general IT skills.
  • Experience working within a team.
  • Ability to prioritise to meet strict timescales.
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels with colleagues and clients.
  • Conscientious and excellent attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
